Here’s your opportunity to upgrade your older Roe 2.4L Supercharger, intake manifold and VEC Engine Management System to a 2.8L or 3.2L Kenne Bell with the newer redesigned manifold and an SCT Tuner. The basic manifold upgrade kit comes with a new thinner top plate, Intake Gaskets and mounting bolts for the compressor. Step by step instructions are also included to guide you through the changeover. The manifold was redesigned in 2016 to flow much more evenly to all cylinders now allowing global maximum fuel adds to Supercharger tunes versus individual injector settings previously capable with the older VEC’s. The manifolds are machined out of T-6061 Billeted Aluminum and anodized for appearance and protection
If you’re currently tuning with an SCT Tuner, you will already have high impedance injectors and the 2 Bar Map Sensor installed along with the tuner. If you are still tuning with the VEC 2 or VEC 3 and there are two boxes with the VEC, this means you have low impedance injectors and will need to select the new injector option, 2 Bar Map Sensor Kit and SCT Tuner w/Forced Induction Tune in the drop down boxes.
If you’d like to upgrade your compressor at the same time to either a new 2.8L or 3.2L Kenne Bell, a newer air box will be required for the new compressors and is included in the compressor prices. The airboxes will come unpainted so please allow for powdercoating to match the current color of your intake tubes. If electing a lower boost level, a 5.8″ under-drive pulley will be needed and is included as well. Water Meth Kit for boost levels 8psi+ and a SCT Tuner w/Forced Induction tune. The minimum boost of the newer 3.2L compressor due to pulley clearance from the hood is 8.4psi with the under-drive pulley. The 96′ to 99′ Vipers have forged internals but if you have a 2000+ Gen 2 Viper and would like to run boost levels above 8psi, Forged Rotating Packages along with Supercharger Grind cams are available on the store website. It is also highly recommended to run water methanol when running boost levels @ 8psi or above.
